Pudu Robotics , a global leader in service robotics, officially launched the FlashBot Arm , an innovative semi-humanoid embodied AI service robot specifically tailored for commercial service environments. Developed by Pudu X-Lab, the FlashBot Arm extends the capabilities of the company's flagship FlashBot, combining advanced humanoid manipulation with intelligent delivery capabilities powered by cutting-edge embodied AI. This integration enables the robot to autonomously perform a variety of tasks in complex environments such as hotels, office buildings, restaurants, retail stores, and healthcare facilities, marking a significant advancement for semi-humanoid robots in commercial applications.

Unlike conventional robots with limited mobility, the FlashBot Arm has real-time perception, decision-making, and execution capabilities, allowing it to create a closed, autonomous task system in dynamic environments. For example, in hotel environments where the lack of IoT systems or renovation constraints may impede the ability of conventional robots to utilize elevators for multi-story deliveries. The FlashBot Arm revolutionizes this process through its robotic arms and the dexterity of its end-effectors. Equipped with two elevating seven-degree-of-freedom robotic arms, the FlashBot Arm achieves a reach of up to two meters. The robot features Pudu's proprietary dexterous hands with eleven degrees of freedom, known as the PUDU DH11, which allow it to perform versatile and precise finger movements such as pressing buttons, grasping objects, and transporting items. This flexibility allows the robot to effortlessly adapt to different tasks without requiring costly modifications to existing infrastructure.

The FlashBot Arm features a wheeled chassis designed for exceptional mobility, significantly increasing delivery efficiency. Leveraging VSLAM and Laser SLAM technologies, it creates accurate 3D maps, navigates autonomously, and avoids obstacles in real time. The enclosed delivery compartment ensures the safe transport of deliveries, creating an end-to-end solution that optimizes workflow and increases staff productivity.

  • Embodied AI decision-making: 

Leveraging advanced, rich language models, the FlashBot Arm engages in natural conversations with the user, enabling human-like decision-making and task planning.
