Mecademic , a leader in miniature, high -precision robotic solutions , announced that it has achieved a major milestone with 15% of its robots shipped in the last 12 months being deployed in optics and photonics applications . This achievement demonstrates Mecademic’s growing influence in advanced manufacturing and reaffirms the growing demand for scalable micro- automation in precision industries .
“This milestone demonstrates the growing adoption of micro- automation solutions in the optics and photonics sector , ” said Philippe Beaulieu , CCO and Executive Vice President of Mecademic . “We can go beyond simply rolling out a robot to support next-generation manufacturing that is precise, cost- efficient and compact .”
Key Features :
Mecademic's robotic solutions are transforming manufacturing processes across a wide range of emerging technologies , including :
Among Mecademic’s innovative products is the Meca500 -OB variant, which features a black optical surface treatment that absorbs 96.5% of visible light . This high visible light absorption is considered a key advantage in sensitive optical applications where even the slightest light interference can compromise precision or safety .
To demonstrate how its robots are redefining precision workflows, Mecademic has collaborated with XVP Photonics to build a hands -on demo of automated micro -optics alignment . The demo is detailed in the white paper, Automating Micro- Optics Alignment with the Meca500 , and will be presented live at Laser World of Photonics 2025 in Munich , Germany , June 24-27 . Attendees will be able to experience first - hand how the Meca500 delivers exceptional precision and adaptability in optical manufacturing .
Mecademic’s strengthened regional presence provides a solid foundation for the company’s expansion across Europe . Stefan John , recently appointed Regional Sales Manager for Germany , Austria and Switzerland (DACH ) , will represent Mecademic at the Hannover Messe 2025 , which will take place from March 31 to April 4 in Hanover .
“ Our presence in Germany allows us to support the growing European demand for micro- automation, particularly in the thriving field of optics and photonics ,” says John Manager . “We are very pleased to be able to demonstrate first-hand the innovative change that compact robots can bring , through our collaboration with various partners .”
Mecademic plans to present precision robotics and innovative technologies on key industry stages through its 2025 European showcase from Hanover to Munich .
