Seoul Semiconductor partners with Brohl Systemtechnik to enhance vehicle inspection lines with SunLike lighting, offering unparalleled color accuracy, defect detection, and improved workplace eye health for global automakers.
A leading European automaker recognized the need for lighting that replicates the spectrum of natural light to make it easier to detect subtle paint defects on vehicles while protecting inspectors' eyes on final delivery inspection lines. Seoul Semiconductor has responded by introducing its SunLike lighting technology.
Seoul Semiconductor (KOSDAQ: 046890) and Brohl Systemtechnik , a German lighting specialist, announced on the 22nd that the technology is being used for inspections on the shipping lines of mass production factories.
A representative from Broll said, "SunLike technology reproduces natural light without color distortion, improving our ability to detect cosmetic defects. In particular, this natural light technology can reduce serious visual impairments and minimize eye fatigue for employees. SunLike, which can easily detect small scratches and defects in cars, has already been adopted by more than two major automotive brands, and others are considering adopting it."
"SunLike technology is not only being used for automotive exterior inspection, but is also increasingly being used in residential spaces, hospitals, schools and other diverse fields," said Hongmin Kim, head of lighting sales at Seoul Semiconductor.
Seoul Semiconductor is the world's second largest LED manufacturer (excluding captive market rankings) with over 18,000 patents. Based on a differentiated product portfolio, the company offers a wide range of technologies and mass produces innovative LED products for indoor and outdoor lighting, IT products such as automobiles, mobile phones, computer displays and other applications, as well as the UV range. Seoul Semiconductor's world-first development and mass production products are becoming the standard in the LED industry and are sweeping the global market. Representative examples include the package-free LED "WICOP", high-voltage AC-driven LED "Acrich", LED "nPola" with 10 times the output of conventional products, cutting-edge UV clean technology LED "Violeds", omnidirectional light emitting technology "filament LED" and natural sunlight spectrum LED "SunLike".
